　ヒステリー患者サビーナをめぐるユングとフロイドの対立はよく知られていて、後に心理分析上で双頭たる位置を築く二人の対立と葛藤が描かれる。もちろん史実に則っているわけだが、名優の存在感が強すぎてそれぞれの個性に振り回されていた印象がつよい。分析心理学なんてものは当時は仮説による試行錯誤なども多かったものと思うから、それだけスリリングな展開にも思えた。
